Product Announcement – New Crucial memory for Mac parts

Apple announced new products at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference.

The announced lineup included a new iMac 27” model that is upgradeable using DDR4-2400 SODIMMs.  Details can be found on Apple’s website.

Available immediately are Crucial branded DRAM modules for the following systems. These systems have already been added to the Crucial Advisor tool and Crucial System Scanner.

Please note current information from Apple shows maximum memory amount is dependent on CPU type.  We will verify and update once we are able to confirm.

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2017) = 64GB maximum memory

iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch 3.4GHz Intel Core i5, 2017) = 32GB maximum memory
