We are looking for a highly motivated, quick thinking, sales savvy, experienced telesales person to join our Sales team. The role requires the successful sales person to perform telesales functions to support the broader mix of Syntech customers. This individual needs to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be organised, have attention to detail, as well as work well in a team environment and under pressure. Experience in customer service is essential with a strong background in sales, along with having sound judgement, discretion and the initiative to drive organisational processes in order to provide our customers with an exceptional level of service.

Job Specification
  • Processing a high volume of product orders
  • Processing invoices for all sales transactions
  • Checking prices and quotes are up to date
  • Supporting the sales force with general operations to help reach the team’s objectives
  • Taking phone calls from customers
  • Communicating internally important feedback from customers
  • Processing POD & Invoice log sheets for all customers
  • Dealing with and responding to high volumes of emails
  • Updating customers with logistics changes
  • Following up on orders, quotes and deliveries
  • Achieve a set number of calls daily, consisting of follow up calls to the customer base, as well as proactively sales calls to existing and new customers
  • Record call details and update accordingly
  • Ensure that each customer contact opportunity is maximised by selling the full Syntech product portfolio
  • Proactively participating in sales and marketing campaigns to reach team targets and objectives
  • Meeting daily KPA Metrics in terms of a number of:
    • Quotes and Orders Process, Outgoing calls made, achieving daily Gross Profit targets.
  • Trustworthy and dependable
  • Punctual and willing to do what is necessary to meet deadlines
  • Ability to take initiative and manage own time effectively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills – Finding solutions for customers queries
  • Well organised and ability to prioritise effectively
  • Not afraid to ask questions or escalate challenges where necessary
  • IT Industry experience is essential
  • Confidence to engage with customers telephonically
  • Commitment to attain a high level of technical product knowledge in order to build credibility with the customer base
  • Maintaining and observing a high degree of professionalism, ensuring confidentiality at all times
  • Display prompt and effective organisation, planning and decision-making skills
  • Professional and enthusiastic attitude to work
