Background
Giada is a leading provider of embedded computing systems and an expert of servers for small & medium-sized businesses. As one of the leading manufacturers cooperating with Intel® since 2003 and Associate Member of Intel® ISA, Giada closely works with its ISV (Independent Software Vendors) partners and dedicates efforts to continuously improve IoT solutions. easescreen, based in Austria, is a close ISV partner of Giada. It has been one of the most important pioneers in the digital signage industry for more than 19 years and is one of the world’s leading brands with its user-friendly software.
Expectations
Through the use of mobile digital information systems, which are strategically placed in the cash register area, in the office, and on business premises, customers should be made aware of products, events, and other information which are promoting on POS screens. The use of mobile digital information systems will boost spontaneous purchasing and thus increase the sell-out of advertising products.
Solution Overview
This mobile digital information system includes Giada’s digital signage player F302, easescreen’s content management system, monitors selected by clients, and telecommunication services from local companies. This solution is designed for advertising agencies, media companies, and companies with their own advertising and media operations.
Infrastructure
In order to ensure the highest level of security in data transmission, the data is transferred to the respective pharmacy systems via a UMTS modem (GSM) integrated in the media PC. Since the systems should be “mobile” and does not rely on local area network, making this system easy to set up and highly adaptive, also meeting the requirements for mass deployment. This type of mobile data transfer meets high-security standards and enables operators to centralize control of all POS screens.
Content Management
All in-store POS systems are centrally supplied with content. After the subjects have gone through the approval process, they are broadcasted to the individual POS screens via the Content Management Server. The management server software is designed by easescreen. Using this software, content can be broadcasted simultaneously to all store POS, regionally and/or individually.
