Inside the Syntech Warranty & Repair Centre: faster repairs, same process
Our new Centre in Centurion brings repairs in-house and in-country, and gives your customers somewhere to turn once their warranty ends.
Selling a product is only half the relationship. What happens after the sale, when something stops working, is often what decides whether a customer comes back. That’s why Syntech has opened a dedicated Warranty & Repair Centre, built to support the products our resellers sell long after they leave the shelf.
The Syntech Warranty & Repair Centre is now open at Unit 1, Cornerstone Business Park, 33 Waterloo Road, Samrand, Centurion. It’s run by Centre Manager Ashley Fourie and a full on-site team, handling assessments and repairs in-house rather than routing them offshore or through third parties.
For resellers, nothing changes
Let’s start with what matters most to our partners: your process stays exactly as it is.
Swap-outs and credits still go through the Syntech JHB technical team, the same way they do today. There’s no new form, no new address to send stock to, and no change to how you log a return.
What changes is what happens behind the scenes. When a unit needs repair, we transfer it to the Warranty & Repair Centre ourselves and return it once the work is done. Because that work now happens in-house and in-country, with spares being held on site, repairs move faster, and more devices get back into circulation sooner.
Support for your customers, not competition for them
The Centre also welcomes end customers for out-of-warranty repairs on Syntech brands.
We want to be clear about why. We’re not here to sell to your customers. We’re here to keep the products you sell working in the field, so you can keep selling with confidence.
Think about the customer whose warranty ended a few months ago and whose device has developed a fault. Without a reliable local repair option, that customer is often left frustrated, and that frustration can land on the brand and on the reseller who sold it to them. Now there’s a clear answer: a real facility, a named team and a direct line to get the product looked at.
That’s good for the customer, good for the brand, and good for you. A product that gets repaired rather than replaced keeps working for longer, keeps the customer’s trust in what they bought, and keeps them coming back to the reseller they bought it from.
Why in-country repairs matter
For a long time, many warranty and repair processes in South Africa have depended on long chains: shipping units out, waiting on third parties, and chasing updates. Every extra step adds time, cost and uncertainty for everyone involved.
Bringing repairs in-house shortens that chain. Assessments and repairs happen locally, by our own team, with spares stock on hand. That means:
- Faster turnaround on repairs, because units aren’t waiting in someone else’s queue
- Repair over replace, with held spares keeping devices alive instead of writing them off
- Clear accountability, with a physical Centre, a manager and a team behind every repair
It’s also a statement of where Syntech is headed. Strong distribution has never just been about moving stock. It’s about standing behind the brands we carry and the partners who sell them, before and after the sale.
How to point your customers to the Centre
If an end-user asks you about an out-of-warranty repair on a Syntech brand, the simplest next step is to point them to the Centre directly:
WhatsApp: +27 64 802 3375 Address: Unit 1, Cornerstone Business Park, 33 Waterloo Road, Samrand, Centurion
For everything else, including swap-outs, credits and in-warranty returns from your side, keep using the Syntech JHB technical team as normal.
