Telkom Do Gaming CLAN Sponsorship

These General Conditions for Promotions and Competitions (hereinafter the “Terms and Conditions Competitions”)

apply to the

Syntech, RAGE, Do Gaming Clan Competition held between the 10 -12th October 2014 (hereinafter “Competition”)

and other promotional activities organized by

Syntech and/or its subsidiaries or its affiliated companies, in this instance, Crucial, Seasonic, Raidmax, Giada, Kanex, Celluon, MyGica, Romoss, Riitek, Western Digital  (hereinafter “The Provider”).

5 (Five) sets of prizes,

consisting of,

  • 5 x Crucial MX100 256GB 2.5” Internal Solid State Drives
  • 5 x Crucial Ballistix Elite 16GB (2x8GB) 1866MHz DDR3 Gaming Memory Kits
  • 5 x Seasonic X-Series 1050W Modular ATX12V PSUs
  • 5 x Kits: T-shirts and peaks

shall be awarded to the winning Clan (hereinafter “The Prize”)

By participating in The Provider’s competitions, the participant agrees to the following Terms and Conditions Competitions. In addition, each Competition and/or other promotion also has specific terms and conditions mentioned in the specific Competition rules.

  1. Participants up to 16 years old state that they have obtained approval from their parent(s) for participation in the Competition.
  2. Participants who are/have been suspended/banned from any league (for whatever reason) are not permitted to register for the Competition (even if using a different account).
  3. Participants who wish to enter this Competition must:
  • Submit a detailed proposal showing motivation for building The Providers brand
  • Show proven success by providing performance and Clan following statistics, via website and social pages
  • Use social media to market The Providers brand for winning a place in the Competition
  • Use the #Ballistix and #Crucialsponsorship hashtags in all social media posts
  1. Participants who wish to enter this Competition must have pre-qualified for the Competition (Do Gaming League Tournament) being held at RAGE 10th to 12th October 2014 via a valid Do Gaming account. You may only represent one team/player per discipline.
  2. Excluded from participation are staff and relatives of The Provider (including its subsidiaries) and cohabiting partners or family of the aforementioned employees. As well as any participants/suppliers in respect of the particular Competition (including advertising agencies, advertisers, sponsors or producers).
  3. The participant is obliged to provide accurate, current and complete information when participating in the Competition.
  4. The decision of The Provider is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding results and the awarding of The Prize.
  5. The Prize is not transferable, exchangeable or payable in cash or other products or services. In case of refusal or non-acceptance of The Prize or conditions that are inherent to the Competition, The Prize will not be awarded. In that case, The Provider is entitled to choose another winner.
  6. The handling of the delivery of The Prize is arranged by The Provider, advertiser/sponsor or another appointed third party.
  7. The Provider shall not be held liable for distribution of The Prize amongst the winning Clan.
  8. If The Prize consists of tickets for gaming expo’s, concerts, festivals, films, sports events or similar types of events and/or holidays/flights, there can be no claim on any form of compensation in case of cancellation.
  9. The winner of The Prize gives The Provider permission to use, free of charge, any received personal data, any photos or any contributions linked to the Competition to be used in promotional activities relating to the Competition and in relation to the announcement of the winner through all media, including radio, television and internet.
  10. The winner of The Prize commits to extensively market the Competition, via all social and media channels available, including Websites linked to the entering Clan.
  11. The winner of The Prize commits to extensively market the Competition, during the period leading up to the Competition and will continue to do so until the Competition has ended.
  12. The winner of The Prize gives The Provider permission to use, free of charge, any received personal data, any photos or any contributions linked to the competition to be used in promotional activities relating to the competition and in relation to the announcement of the winner through all media, including radio, television and internet.
  13. At the request of The Provider, the winner(s) of The Prize will cooperate in promotional activities of the Provider to the extent that can be reasonably expected of them, including publicity regarding the announcements of the winner(s) across all media including radio, television and the Internet. For cooperating with these promotional activities no financial compensation will be paid.
  14. The participant consents to the processing of personal data in connection with participation in the Competition. The Provider may add the personal information to its database.
  15. Personal information may be used to execute the Competition and the award ceremony. In this context, The Provider is entitled to provide personal data to third parties involved in the relevant Competition (including suppliers, advertisers, sponsors and/or producers). Moreover, the participant gives permission to The Provider to keep him/her informed of the products and/or services of The Provider, its partners (including sponsors, manufacturers and advertisers) and carefully selected companies.
  16. Use of the awarded prize is at the expense and risk of the winner. The Provider cannot be held liable for use of the prize by the winner under the General and/or specific conditions for competitions.
  17. The Provider is in no way responsible for any damages arising from participation in the Competition or for any technical malfunctions, failures or delays with respect to participation in the Competition or the appointment of the winner.
  18. The Provider is in no way responsible for any problems or defects arising from the use of the Website and/or downloading any components whatsoever in relation to the Competition.
  19. The Provider has the right to disqualify participants if he believes that the participants are not acting in conformity with the General and/or specific Terms and Conditions Competitions or if the participant is otherwise fraudulently accessing the competition or unfairly influencing the course of the competition.
  20. The Provider has the right to disqualify participants if The Provider believes that the participants are acting in any disorderly manner, or are conducting themselves in any way which is deemed illegal, within our South African Legal System. This is applicable up to and after The Competition.
  21. The Provider is entitled to, at its discretion and without notice, change or modify these Terms and Conditions specific to the Competitions for the duration of the contest and without giving a reason to discontinue, modify or adapt the Competition for reasons of its own without any obligation to compensate any damages on behalf of the participant. Any changes or adaptations within the competition, will be made public in an appropriate manner (e.g. via its website).
  22. The participant understands that entries to the Competition must reach The Provider by end of day, 31st August 2014
  23. These Terms and Conditions Competitions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts for the resolution of any dispute, difference, controversy or claim arising in connection with these Official Rules, this tournament and/or The Prizes/Competition.
  24. These Terms and Conditions Competitions apply:
  • Right of admission reserved
  • The Providers decision is final
  • The Provider reserves the right to modify any and all rule sets without notifying the contestants
  • The Provider reserves the right to change or modify these Terms and Conditions Competitions specific to the Competitions for the duration of the contest and without giving a reason to discontinue, modify or adapt the Competition for reasons of its own without any obligation to compensate any damages on behalf of the participant.
