Comic Con Cape Town 2026 was an absolute blast, and together with Computer Mania, PCBuilder brought the heat all weekend long at CTICC 2 with a packed-out activation full of gaming, racing, giveaways, custom PCs, and pure chaos.
From competitive challenges and sim racing setups to limited-edition showcase builds and even a station where you could literally smash old PC parts to pieces, the PCBuilder area quickly became one of the busiest spots on the convention floor.
Together with brands like Antec, Hiksemi, Deep Cool, ASUS, MSI, Xiaomi, Redragon, ASRock, Patriot, PXN, and more, attendees got the chance to go hands-on with the latest hardware, chat directly with product specialists, and experience the best of gaming tech up close.
Redragon Keyboard Rebuild Race
One of the biggest crowd favourites of the weekend was the Redragon Keyboard Rebuild Race, where contestants went head-to-head to rebuild gaming keyboards as fast as possible.
The pressure was real, the crowds got loud, and every second counted as competitors scrambled to put keycaps back before their opponents. It brought some serious competitive energy to the floor and gave attendees a fun way to test their skills under pressure.
PXN Racing Showcase
The PXN racing stations were another massive hit throughout the event, giving attendees the chance to jump into immersive sim racing setups and put down their fastest lap times.
Whether you were a hardcore racing fan or just there for fun, the PXN rigs delivered a seriously fun experience that kept queues busy all weekend. Between intense races, close finishes, and a few dramatic crashes, the racing zone became one of the liveliest areas in the PCBuilder space.
Quest Card Challenge & Computer Mania Giveaways
The Quest Card activity turned the entire PCBuilder activation into an interactive challenge.
Attendees visited different brand stations, explored the showcases, and completed activities to fill out their Quest Cards for a chance to enter the Computer Mania raffle and win some awesome prizes.
Keeping the energy levels high throughout the weekend was Danilo Acquisto from Good Hope FM, who hosted giveaways, hyped up the crowds, and helped keep the vibes going from start to finish.
Brand Showcase Stations
Beyond the competitions and activities, attendees also had the opportunity to get hands-on with some incredible hardware from leading gaming and PC brands.
Antec, Hiksemi, Deep Cool, ASRock, and Patriot all hosted showcase stations featuring their latest products, components, cooling solutions, storage, and gaming gear. These areas gave attendees the chance to engage directly with product managers and brand representatives, ask questions, learn more about the hardware, and see the latest stock in person.
It gave fans, gamers, and even partners a more personal experience with the brands while creating plenty of opportunities for real conversations around the latest tech.
MSI Showcase Builds
MSI pulled plenty of attention with custom showcase builds promoting their ongoing Pragmata campaign. The setup combined eye-catching aesthetics with high-performance hardware, creating one of the standout hardware displays in the PCBuilder area.
Attendees had the opportunity to get a closer look at the hardware powering the system while exploring MSI’s wider gaming ecosystem, making the showcase a strong addition to the overall PCBuilder experience stand at Comic Con. Fans who purchased MSI products during the event also stood a chance to win Steam codes.
ASUS Limited Edition PCs
ASUS also had fans stopping in their tracks thanks to several limited-edition showcase systems on display, including the incredibly popular PCBuilder Ryzen 7 9800X3D ASUS X MIKU Windows 11 Gaming PC.
Blending high-end gaming hardware with collectible-inspired designs, the ASUS showcase brought together gaming culture, anime aesthetics, and serious performance in a way that drew huge attention across the weekend. To make things even more exciting, attendees also had the chance to win exclusive ASUS merch throughout the event.
PC Destroyer
And then there was PC Destroyer.
Possibly the loudest – and most satisfying – attraction on the floor, PC Destroyer gave attendees the chance to safely smash old PC parts and completely let loose.
Broken keyboards, shattered panels, flying components, and cheering crowds became the norm as fans lined up to take their frustrations out on outdated hardware. It was chaotic, hilarious, and easily one of the most memorable experiences of the weekend.
Thank You, Cape Town
